Corrections
When a fact is wrong, the job is to fix the record — not quietly pretend it never happened.
What gets a correction?
A material factual error: the wrong score, player, team, date, injury status, quote attribution, statistic, roster designation or other fact that changes the reader's understanding.
Check the underlying source rather than correcting one secondary report with another.
Correct the inaccurate text, table, headline or graphic as soon as practical.
Add a correction or update note when the change is significant enough that a returning reader should know.
If the same error appears in another AGN page, newsletter or social package, correct that version too.
Correction notes vs updates
An update adds new information to a story that was accurate when published. A correction fixes information that was wrong. Those are not the same thing, and AGN should label them accordingly.
Current public correction log
This shadow build has not been launched as AGN's public production site. Once public publishing begins, material corrections can be logged here with the article, date and nature of the change.
